PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRY
We are beginning a new ministry in our congregation by offering prayer blankets. The purpose of these blankets is to provide comfort to those in need of support and prayer. Who does it? You do! If you are aware of someone who is in need of a prayer blanket, please contact the church office. Blankets are normally kept on hand in a variety of colors. If we are between shipments, there may be as much as a two-week waiting period. Cost? A donation of $10.00, paid to the church office or a check made out to the church will cover the cost of the blanket. If you are able to donate $20.00 it will allow the church to donate to those in need. Delivery? The individual who orders the blanket is responsible for delivery. This is normally after the blanket has been prayed over by our prayer committee and the Pastor for a one-week period. To Begin? Simply fill out a form in the church office along with an informational form that will allow us to send a note to the recipient of the blanket (if desired). A list of those being prayed for will be in each week's bulletin. The ministry will also be publicized monthly in order to remind our members of this wonderful ministry.
