07/20/11: A New Day is Dawning
A New Day is Dawining......Teh excitement is mounting. Preparations are now underway to upgrade and improve our 8:50 service. Practices have begun to learn new songs with a new feel. A lot of hard work and dedication are being put into making this service a worshipful and uplifting experience. More details will be forthcoming.
In an effort to better reflect the Body of Christ, we are looking for individuals to go and visit with their fellow members. The hours and days of visitation are totally up to you. All that is needed is a compassionate heart, and an ear to listen. If you are interested, please let me, (John), or Judy Davis-Crow at 321.267.5597.
03/24/11: Living With Loss
VITAS Hospice is now hosting a grief support group. This group will meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at Hope Cottage located at 3307 Green Street. The purpose of this group is to provide support and comfort to those who have experienced a loss. This group is open to all. You need not be a member of Mims UMC to participate. If you know anyone who can benefit from this ministry, please encourage them to attend.

03/14/11: Worship Committee
The Worship Committee is looking for people who are interested in being greeters for our Sunday services or serving refreshments before the 11 a.m. service. Please call the church office if you can help. Thank you!
03/12/11: Prayer Blanket Ministry
We are beginning a new ministry in our congregation by offering prayer blankets. The purpose of these blankets is to provide comfort to those in need of support and prayer. Who does it? You do! If you are aware of someone who is in need of a prayer blanket, please contact the church office. Blankets are normally kept on hand in a variety of colors. If we are between shipments, there may be as much as a two-week waiting period.
